“The essence of all beings is Earth. The essence of the Earth is Water. The essence of Water is plants. The essence of plants is the human being.”
Chandogya
Upanishad 1.4.2
“Evolution is a manifestation of latent
potentials. Within each thing is
contained all things. In the seed is the
tree; in the tree the forest. Therefore,
intelligence is contained implicitly in the many worlds of nature, not only in
our human-centered world. Another way of
saying this is that consciousness exists in all forms of life. There is nothing then in existence that is
unfeeling, nothing unspiritual and nothing without a unique value and knowledge
in the cosmos.” Dr Vasant Lad.
There are innumerable benefits from this
wonderful plant Aloe Vera, grow your own plant and take the juice directly
mixing it with coconut water or vegetable or fruit juice. Slicing a piece of the thick leaf off, then
slice down one side to remove the skin and scrape out the gel with a
spoon. The gel should be clear and
fairly thick.
It has 18 amino acids that work in
association with other compounds of the human body to deliver numerous health
benefits. Mostly it is known for the
healing of skin wounds and other skin issues but also it has numerous other
important benefits, consisting of many B vitamins, boosting immunity and
keeping parasites at bay. It is
antifungal and antibacterial and aids in the regeneration of cells. Drinking the juice of Aloe Vera helps to
detox the colon, regulate blood sugar levels, reduces inflammation, helps to
increase the metabolic rate and aids in combating constipation. Also regulating the blood pressure and
retards the growth of cancerous cells, there are so many benefits to this
ancient plant.
All plants hold knowledge, only when that
knowledge is no longer needed do we no longer see the plant. The whole universe is there within each
seed, leaf and stem. If we only still
had the whole knowledge of the benefits of these beautiful gifts that can heal
us but maybe that only exists in the animals.
However we do still know some things and in using Aloe Vera we can
soothe the stomach, calm ulcers, take care of B vitamin deficiency and look
after our skin. I tend to just eat it
directly from the plant but it does have a very bitter taste, so you can mix it
with your juice for a bit of a gentler approach.
Place you plant directly in the sun so it
increases the prana the vital energy and watch it turn into a magnificent
looking thing that contains its very own pharmacy! Some research suggests that this beautiful
plant could be one of the oldest plants on the planet with medicinal and health
benefits so obviously we still need it!!
Om Namah Sivaya OM
May you all find peace and harmony and
connection to all that surrounds you.
